Fisherman Adrift for 7 Days in Leyte Waters Rescued

CATBALOGAN CITY — Last night, 56-year-old Rodulfo Cabus, a fisherman from Guiuan, was rescued after floating adrift for seven days in an open sea waters, at the vicinity of Laguma Sanctuary in Silago, Leyte.

According to the incident report, on the night of March 18, 2024, Cabus went fishing in the waters near Homonhon area in Guiuan when his boat malfunctioned. He was spotted by barangay officials from Laguma Sanctuary aboard a floating pumpboat and was rescued.
